My intern was too busy being non-existent, while I frolicked in Shanghai getting wayy too comfortable, but luckily someone got around to translating the 2013 MIDI Festival schedule (none other than the top notch hooligans at SB) swhich takes place from April 29th to May 1st . Another year of punk, rock, folk, and plenty ol metal from the MIDI people. Yeah, they could make these lineups in their sleep at this point. Yet, not gonna lie, while Strawberry has a stellar lineup, something tells me MIDI might creep ahead of them this year in terms of bands who will rock the shit of a stage. Nova Heart, Perpetual Motion Machine, Residence A – a lot of up and coming groups along with the regulars. If you don’t mind the hike up to China Music Valley aka Yuyang International Ski Resort, or pitching a tent for the night as is the norm for most true MIDIers, then I might have to give my heart back to MIDI this year. Choices, choices, choices. Check out the full lineup below – tickets are 100/120 RMB for one day and 280 RMB for three days of cheap booze, sand pits, and chuanr. Grab them through here, here, or here. Click away…..
