Almost forget to mention that this weekend Strawberry Festival returns – with a new location – Grand Epoch City in Xianghe (just outside of Beijing). Well, more like actively ignored. Nevertheless, while I’m pretty burnt out on festivals, they’re plenty of folks out there looking for an excuse to pop out of Beijing, get some fresh air, and enjoy some music while at it. And while the lineup doesn’t reveal any real surprises – much has been written about international acts Prodigy, Disclosure, Pissed Jeans, and Modestep strutting their stuff – it’s still a solid selections of bands. Strawberry Festival runs from Saturday April 30^th to May 2^nd. Tickets can be had here and here. Buses can be caught around the city – likewise, folks can take the local bus 938 directly to the venue.
