Drunk on Americana, folk rock group Two Gallants will be bring their raspy blues to Yugong Yishan tonight – and if that wasn’t enough, Residence A is opening up for them.

Grunge and punk come together at D-22 – The Gray, Crappy Tobacco, and Miss Freak play.

If you’re looking to go big this weekend, then let local legends New Pants help you out as they’ll be taking over the Beijing Exhibition Center for the night. If the video below is any indication, expect high theatrics and performances. Across town, the Bigger Band, after a long wait, is finally ready to unleash their debut album, under their modified name Da Bang at Yugong Yishan. Their will be supported by Helen Feng’s new band, Nova Heart, and the Ghost Spardac. Noisy, sloshed, and loads of fun – the Bedstars are making the rounds over at D-22 with support from the Syringe and Reloadz. Mademoiselle et son Orchestre brings her lovely voice to Dos Kolegas. Lastly, head to Lama Temple area to catch Mongolian folksters Ajinai play at cosy Jianghu Bar.
Saturday
Helen Feng seems busier than ever these days – her other band Free The Birds/ZIYO is playing Dos Kolegas, with DH & the Chinese Hellcats and Skarving. Should be a fun night. Shanghai rocker Friend or Foe will be throwing down at D-22 with Yan Tiao, Deadly Cradle Death and Perpetual Motion Machine. Hard and heavy is the motto at Mao Livehouse tonight, as bands, including A.J.K, Misando, and The Falling, plan to turn the place into a frenzy. Acid Live returns to Yugong Yishan to bring the funk along with guests. Lastly, the Syndicate will be lying down beats with their crew at Tango.
